Crossroads

Crossroads Global Distribution is a non-profit organization that takes excess quality goods and redistributes them to areas in need, both locally and internationally.

Every Tuesday and Wednesday a group from Ladies Circle Hong Kong travel together to the warehouse, in the New Territories, to volunteer in the stationery department.  After an excellent cup of coffee, or tea, at the onsite Silk Road Café, we make our way up to the warehouse to unpack, organise and re-pack, to requirement, the latest supply of stationery.  Requests can range from a simple box of files to wonderful ‘kits’ for school children consisting of notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, pencil cases etc…

Once the requests are filled we either head back to the Silk Road Café, or the restaurant, to have a spot of lunch.  There is also the opportunity to purchase some beautiful handicrafts, they make wonderful gifts, at the Global Handicrafts shop, before departing.

Although we work hard, it’s a another great way to catch-up with other members and to meet new friends.
