Ladies Circle and Crossroads have a long standing relationship with our ladies volunteering over many years. We have a regular group of ladies who try to meet up at Crossroads as often as possible on a Tuesday or Wednesday. This often leads to 4-5 ladies working in the stationery Department each week. We run a car pool system for those who wish to come and help out.
The job entails both unpacking donated items and packing up orders for many different countries around the world. Many developing countries need supplies for schools,education and industry, others may need help following natural disasters.
I would like to appeal to any ladies who would like to volunteer to let us know. This does not have to be regular. It can be a one off just to see Crossroads itself, which is well worth the visit; or you are welcome to let us know if you are free to come along any week.
** Next week URGENT help is needed. ** We have a big order in for Uganda needed before CNY. We would welcome a few extra pair of hands. If any one is interested to come for a one off or to see for yourself the volunteer opportunity with Crossroads, please let us you know as would be very welcome.

The second box-packing night for Box Of Hope ended up being an incredibly productive night with 67 additional boxes wrapped and packed for the Box of Hope charity drive. Soft toys, matchbox cars, planes, jewelry, headbands, toothbrushes, soaps, pens, felt tips, colouring pencils, books, drawing books, jigsaws and a variety of other toys were sorted and collated into each box.
This adds to the previous 66 boxes done at the packing event in July meaning Hong Kong Ladies Circlers have contributed 133 boxes to this cause. Well done Ladies!!
Ladies Circlers will also be helping check boxes during the afternoon on the 21st and 22nd November at the Central offices before they are distributed. If you are interested in helping, please let us know.
The Round Table Pedal Kart Race will take place on the 11th and 12th of February 2012.
Ladies Circle Hong Kong members help with the administration and marshalling of the event which runs for a full 24 hours in Victoria Park. Please mark your calendars with the dates and watch out for service opportunities beginning with preparation work in January. The race raises approximately HK$ 1,000,000. For the help Ladies Circle Hong Kong provide at the event we receive 10% to distribute to our charity nominees.

VOLUNTEERS required at Riding For Disabled Assoc, Pokfulam. Three hours per week Tuesday to Saturday. Evening options are available for those who work but would still like to help out.
